A spirit that is not afraid

An ode to Spongebob from The Plainsman: What Spongebob has taught us

For many, childhood can be defined by Lunchables, Beanie Babies and rectangular pizza. But, those whose parents didn't mind questionable humor, sat down on vibrant-leather beanbags and unbearable uncomfortable plastic princess and superhero chairs to watch a little yellow character live his life under the deep blue sea.

Spongebob Squarepants and his crew have been making us laugh since 1999. Just the other day, a fellow college student said, "Soiled it, soiled it, soiled it," in reference to the memorable episode, "The Algae's Always Greener."

What slips the mind of many Spongebob fans is the many lessons that goofy sponge has taught his watchers. Here is just a few of those quality life lessons.

1. How to avoid ripping our pants.

 2.How to spell F-U-N and C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E.

3. How to blow bubbles.

4. How to avoid hooks.

5. How to fail a driving test.

6. How not to deliver a pizza.

7. How to be a teacher's pet.
