Kate Hardman crowned 2016 Miss Homecoming

Kate Hardman, senior in nursing, was crowned the 2016 Miss Homecoming during halftime at the Auburn vs. Louisiana-Monroe football game.

Hardman was nominated by Chi Omega and campaigned throughout this past week in support of her platform "Hope with Hardman."

“My goal through this week is to raise awareness and support for Make-A-Wish Alabama. The Make-A-Wish mission is simple: to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions in order to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. It is my hope to spread awareness to this cause and show Auburn’s campus how one simple wish can help restore a child’s hope and strength. As a student body, we have the chance to make a difference in these children’s lives. As a nursing major, whose dream is impacting these children through the field of pediatric oncology, this is my here-and-now impact. My heart is for these kids, and it is my privilege to partner with them in this fight—both in this day and in the future.”

Hardman will succeed 2015 Miss Homecoming Taylor Wesley, senior in communication.
