University Program Council will be hosting 2 Chainz, Bebe Rexha and "more" at the 2017 Airwaves concert on Sept. 18.

The event will be held at the Auburn Arena. Students will be charged $16 and the public will be charged $43. UPC posted this  video on its Instagram account.

The event has formerly been hosted in the spring but will be held in the fall this year. Last spring,  UPC decided to take the semester off from the event to review the money spent on the $45 Student Activity Fee and its use in funding the concert.

The sabbatical from Airwaves was a part of the "benchmark process" to compare the Airwaves concert to other Auburn concerts hosted throughout the year. Airwaves has faced criticism by the Auburn community in past years.

Kesha's performance in 2015 received negative reviews and conversations were started about the standard of public performances in an Auburn City Council meeting. These conversations led to the move from Toomer's corner to the Red Barn.

This is a developing story.
