Auburn enters the 2017 season with high expectations. Those expectations were reassured Thursday in the preseason coaches’ poll.
Auburn enters the season ranked No. 13, the third highest ranking in the SEC.
Alabama enters the season at No. 1, and LSU begins the year at No. 12.
Auburn’s week two opponent, defending national champion Clemson, will start the season ranked No. 5.
Auburn will face four preseason ranked opponents including Alabama, LSU, Clemson and No. 15 Georgia.
No. 16 and No. 24 Tennessee round out the SEC’s preseason ranked teams.
The preseason AP Top 25 will be released on Aug. 21.
