Student struck by vehicle near RBD Library

A female student, 19, was struck by a Subaru vehicle near Ralph Brown Draughon Library on Tuesday night. 

According to Police Chief Paul Register, the student was crossing Roosevelt Drive and was not using a crosswalk when she was struck. The student was treated for minor injuries. 

"She had minor injuries, but they transported her just to be sure," Register said. 

Register said she was treated at East Alabama Medical Center and appears to be in good condition.
