Kickoff time, TV channel announced for Auburn vs. Louisiana-Monroe

ESPN2 will broadcast the 11 a.m. CT game

The Tigers' kickoff time against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks is set for 11 a.m. CT on ESPN2, announced Monday afternoon. The out-of-conference showdown will come a week after Auburn's 2:30 kick with the No. 1 team in the land, the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Tigers and Warhawks played early last season in an easy win for the Tigers. Kerryon Johnson ran for 146 yards and two scores, and Auburn as a team nearly eclipsed 700 yards of offense (688) in a 58-7 win in Jordan-Hare. The victory marked the last of a five-game home stand that Auburn began the 2016 season with.

In 2012, amid Auburn's abysmal 3-9 season, the Warhawks nearly came away with a monumental upset, barely being edged by Gene Chizik's Tigers, 31-28.

2017's matchup will be the 11th meeting between the teams. Louisiana-Monroe is still searching for its first victory in the series, as Auburn holds a 10-0 stranglehold on the all-time series. Every contest has been held on The Plains.
