Opelika police searching for 'armed and dangerous' murder suspect

The Opelika Police Department have identified Moses Marques Edwards, 32, as a suspect in the March 30 murder of Nathanial Gibson on Chester Avenue, according to a release from OPD.

Edwards, also known as "Moe," has an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Police described him as black, 6-feet-4-inches and approximately 200 pounds. OPD said Edwards could be armed and dangerous and have recommended that no one approach him.

Police have asked that anyone with information regarding his whereabouts contact them at the department's investigative services division at 334-705-5220 or their secret witness hotline at 334-745-8665.
