Opelika High School product and former Auburn defensive back Stephen Roberts is off to X.
X selected the senior in the x round of the 2018 NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon, marking the 6th Auburn player off the board.
Roberts saw action in all four seasons on The Plains, but his stock rose primarily after the departure of then-defensive coordinator Will Muschamp in the 2016 season, when he intercepted the only two passes defended that year.
Despite his 5-foot-11, 190-pound stature, Roberts was a true strong safety under Kevin Steele, contributing in run defense with 136 career tackles and 7.5 tackles for loss.
Auburn now has X 2018 draftees, the most for the team since 1991.
