Outtakes, the on-campus convenience stores, will be closing its Student Center location Thursday to complete renovations before it is rebranded for the upcoming year.
The Student Center convenience store location is the last of its kind to close, said Gwen Ward, a dining specialist for Tiger Dining.
The convenience stores throughout campus, now called War Eagle Supply Co., will re-open as soon as renovations are complete. The goal is to have them ready before the first class day of the fall 2018 semester.
Tiger Dining previously announced the changes that would be made to all of the on-campus convenience stores.
The goal is to make the convenience stores a destination. They wanted to make it a place where students will want to eat, said Glenn Loughridge, director of Tiger Dining.

“We want to make it like a place you want to visit,” Loughridge said.
The goal was to make the convenience stores appealing to students. Loughridge wanted to make a place that was both visually appealing and offered students food they want to eat.
