After a stellar 4-0-0 start to the 2018 season, Auburn soccer has risen to No. 17 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll and No. 21 in the Top Drawer Soccer Poll this week.
Auburn is the fourth-highest ranked team in the SEC, just behind Texas A&M, Tennessee and South Carolina.
The bump in ranking comes after a dominating UAB, 6-0 and a late second half surge against Louisiana, 4-1. Auburn has outshot its opponents 51-9 in the match ups with a 25-3 shots on goal margin.
Auburn leads the nation in points (59) and assists (21) and ranks second in goals with 16. The 16 goals in through four matches is the program’s most since 2000 and second in school history.
The 4-0-0 start to the season is the best since 2006 and the Tigers look to keep the momentum going as the travel to the west coast to take on Cal State Fullerton on Friday, Aug. 31.
