Head coach Butch Thompson's next season is set.
Following Auburn's best postseason finish since the 1997 season, the Tigers will be returning to Plainsman Park starting Feb. 15, 2019, against Georgia Southern. Thompson's squad finished the 2018 season with a 43-23 record and the program's first super regional victory.
The team will be returning nine of 14 pitchers and four position players who started 45 or more games. This includes All-SEC shortstop Will Holland and freshmen All-Americans Tanners Burns, Cody Greenhill, Edouard Julien and Steven Williams.
Auburn's 33 home regular-season games feature 15 30-win teams, eight teams with NCAA Regional appearances, four teams with super regional appearances and two teams with College World Series appearances.
