Will Hastings is back.
Six months after suffering a torn ACL during a spring scrimmage, Hastings returned to the gridiron Saturday during Auburn's home opener against Alabama State.
With 9:53 to go in the second quarter, Hastings ran a deep post route on 1st and 10. Jarrett Stidham overshot him by a few yards.
After Anthony Schwartz scored a 24-yard touchdown in the second quarter to put Auburn up 42-0, Hastings knocked the freshman receiver to the ground while celebrating.
On Tuesday, Gus Malzahn announced that both Hastings and Eli Stove, who also suffered a torn ACL in the spring, had returned to full practice. Malzahn gave no further updates on the pair and did not provide a timetable for their return.
