Just hours before Auburn and LSU are set to duke it out on the gridiron, the Tigers picked up a recruit on the basketball front.
Four-star forward Jaylin Williams has become Bruce Pearl's fourth verbal commitment in the 2019 class, 247 Sports reported Saturday afternoon. Williams had narrowed down his choices to Auburn and Georgia.
A 6-foot-7 wing presence out of Brantley County (Nahunta, Ga.), Williams is the No. 5 prospect in the state of Georgia and the No. 25 power forward in the country. He joins 3-star center Babatunde Akingbola, three-star forward Allen Flanigan and four-star wing Isaac Okoro in next year's class.
Auburn opens its 2018-19 campaign at home against South Alabama on Nov. 6.
