Junior defensive back John Broussard Jr. has left the Auburn football program "to pursue other things," head coach Gus Malzahn announced Tuesday morning.
Broussard Jr. was a reserve the past two seasons, recording eight total tackles and one pass deflection during his time on The Plains.
"We wish him nothing but the best," Malzahn said.
On Auburn's depth chart, Broussard Jr. was listed behind sophomore Noah Igbinoghene at cornerback. Malzahn added that freshman Roger McCreary could slide in to fill that void. Per Malzahn, junior nickel Javaris Davis will practice this week after suffering an injury against Washington.
