The Cam Newton statue was found sporting crimson and white early Tuesday morning.

Two University of Alabama flags were strapped to the statue of Heisman Trophy winner Newton. It appears a jockstrap is hanging from Newton's left arm.

The Auburn Police Division are looking into the incident.

Auburn's former football star Newton currently plays for the Carolina Panthers. Newton played for Auburn University in 2010 and was awarded the Heisman Trophy in 2010. The statue was revealed in 2012. The statue is located in front of the student gates of Jordan-Hare Stadium.
