This college football season marked the first year of the NCAA's four-game redshirt rule, which allows players to play in up to four of their team's games without burning a year of eligibility.
Auburn's 2018 class has taken full advantage of this rule. Kevin Steele's defense is littered with 18- or 19-year-old playmakers, while 54 percent of the Tigers' offensive production came from freshmen in the regular season.
But there are no true freshmen sitting on the four-game fence heading into the bowl, according to Auburn Athletics snap counts. Gus Malzahn can use his youngsters however he pleases in the Tigers' 13th game.
