Auburn defensive lineman Nick Coe won't play in the Tigers' home finale against Liberty, Gus Malzahn announced Tuesday morning.
Coe suffered a "wrist-type" injury in a 27-10 loss at Georgia last Saturday. Coe did not return to the game, leaving Auburn's defensive line relatively undermanned, as fellow sophomore defensive end Big Kat Bryant was ejected for targeting early in the game.
Coe leads the team in both sacks with seven and tackles for loss with 13.5 — the most by a Tiger since Dee Ford in 2013.
Malzahn is uncertain of Coe's status for next weekend's Iron Bowl in Tuscaloosa.
Malzahn added that junior nickel Javaris Davis will be "day-to-day" in practices this week leading up to Auburn's Senior Day.
Auburn kicks off with Liberty at 3 p.m. CST inside Jordan-Hare Stadium.
