Auburn softball ace pitcher Makayla Martin will miss "the next several weeks" with a right hand injury, a team spokesperson said Wednesday afternoon.
“She’s continuing to rehab at the moment and we look forward to her return,” said Auburn head coach Mickey Dean.
A senior from California, Martin has 15 starts this season with an 11-2 record and a team-low 1.31 ERA and team-high 86 strikeouts. She boasts 10 complete games this season, including five shutouts.
The No. 17 Tigers (26-4, 3-0) heads to Starkville, Mississippi, this weekend for a three-game series with Mississippi State.
