Chuma Okeke and Jared Harper have another former teammate joining them in the NBA. Bryce Brown will continue shooting that thing from way downtown, but this time in Boston.
The former shooting guard signed an exhibit 10 contract with the Boston Celtics on Tuesday, September 24 and will join the team's G-league affiliate for the upcoming season.
Brown, Okeke and Harper have now all signed with an NBA team for the upcoming season. The first Auburn trio to sign with NBA teams in the same draft class since 1988.
"Signing this deal means a lot to me because I went undrafted," Brown said. "Thirty teams didn't want to take a shot on me. I feel like this is a great opportunity to prove myself once again.
"We met both ways, and I could possibly move up one day to the main squad. I'm just very appreciative of the opportunity and am counting my blessings."
Just a day after former Auburn teammate Bryce Brown signed his first professional basketball contract, a former Final Four teammate has joined Brown in signing a contract to play professional basketball.
Malik Dunbar is now the latest from Auburn's Final Four team to continue his dream of playing basketball professionally. He joins the Artland Dragons in the ProA league, the second tier-level league in Germany.
Dunbar's signing with the German basketball team, Artland Dragons makes him the fifth player from Auburn's Final Four team to sign a professional contract.
Chuma Okeke, Jared Harper and Bryce Brown all signed to play in the NBA or its developmental league, the G-League. Horace Spencer signed overseas to join Atenas, one of the top teams in Argentina. Now Dunbar will be heading to Germany to continue his basketball dreams.
