Last week, Auburn basketball went to Brooklyn and won the Legends Classic for its first regular-season tournament victory since 2004, vaulting it to No. 14 in the latest AP Poll. The Tigers have yet to lose a game at 7-0.

Auburn continues to climb up the poll as the team is up four places from the last iteration and inches closer to a top-10 spot.

In the Legends Classic Championship game versus Richmond, Auburn won 79-65, its fourth consecutive double-digit victory. Senior Samir Doughty led the team in scoring with 22 points. So far this season, Doughty has assumed the position as the go-to scorer with a team-high 19 points per game.

Austin Wiley earned the honor of Most Valuable Player of the tournament. Over the two games versus New Mexico and Richmond, he averaged a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. He was then on Monday named the SEC Player of the Week for his performances.

Auburn’s next game is at home this Thursday against Furman at 8 p.m. CST.
