Auburn hoops up to No. 12 in AP poll

The new AP Poll for men’s college basketball has been released, and Auburn has moved up two spots. The Tigers, previously ranked at No. 14, are now ranked No. 12 following a win over Furman.

Auburn was down 14 in the second half against Furman with 16:09 remaining, but it battled back and tied the game, sending it to overtime. The Tigers went on to win the affair 81-78. 

The win propelled the team to an 8-0 record, making Auburn one of eight teams in the nation that remain undefeated. The Tigers are the only undefeated team in the Southeastern Conference. 

The Tigers’ next game is Saturday, Dec. 14 in Birmingham against Saint Louis. The Saint Louis Billikens are 8-1, with their only loss being to then-ranked No. 16 Seton Hall.
