College GameDay is heading to Auburn Arena.

The news was announced during Saturday morning's broadcast. The Tigers will be hosting Kentucky the first weekend in February.

Teams in the Southeastern Conference would probably say when Kentucky comes to town, the atmosphere is a little bigger and the stakes are a little higher. For Auburn, who is hosting Kentucky on Feb. 1 and now hosting College GameDay, there is opportunity for a resume-bolstering win.

The men’s basketball spinoff of the popular ESPN program is heading to Auburn Arena for the first time in school history. Not only is the program heading to Auburn Arena for the first time, but this will also be the Tigers first appearance ever on the show.

ESPN’s College GameDay is hosted by Rece Davis and he is joined by analysts Jay Bilas, LaPhonso Ellis and Seth Greenberg. The format is just like in the fall, the program travels to different college campuses for the biggest storylines of the week.

The program will air at 10 a.m. CST on ESPN before Auburn and Kentucky tipoff at 5 p.m. CST on ESPN later that night. The matchup is also the annual AUTLIVE game. AUTLIVE is Auburn basketball’s initiative to help the fight against cancer.
