For the second time this season, an Auburn gymnast has won SEC Specialist of the Week. Senior Gracie Day brings home the honor after her performance against No. 2 Florida.
Day scored a 9.9 or higher in three events against Florida including vault, bars and floor. Her 9.925 on vault tied her career-high in the event and she followed this up with a 9.9 on bars, a season-high. Lastly, she finished the meet with a season-high 9.9 on the floor.
Ultimately, the Tigers fell to Florida in the meet by a score of 197.875-194.750. Auburn’s next meet will be on the road when they travel to Fayetteville to take on No. 14 Arkansas on Friday at 6:30 p.m. CST. The meet will be televised on SEC Network.
