Tigers picked third in SEC West by preseason media poll

According to the preseason SEC media poll, the Auburn Tigers have been picked to finish third in the SEC West.

A year after a 9-4 record with wins over No. 11 Oregon and No. 5 Alabama, the Tigers were picked to finished behind Alabama and the defending national champion's LSU and received no votes to win the SEC Championship Game.

Auburn saw no nominations to the preseason first or second teams on offense, but did see wide receiver Seth Williams and right tackle Brodarious Hamm named to the third team. 

On defense, defensive end Big Kat Bryant and linebacker K.J. Britt were named first-team and defensive backs Smoke Monday and Christian Tutt were named third team. Kicker Anders Carlson was named to the third team for special teams.
