Auburn point guard Sharife Cooper has been selected to the SEC All-Freshman team, the conference announced on Tuesday. Cooper is just the third freshman to be selected under head coach Bruce Pearl.

Cooper joins Isaac Okoro and Mustapha Heron as Auburn freshmen who have been named to the All-Freshman team. The voting for regular season awards is up to SEC head coaches.

Cooper led the Tigers in scoring and assists, averaging 20.2 points per game and 8.1 assists in 12 games.

The Powder Springs native accounted for 47.2% of Auburn's scoring when he was in the lineup through scoring or assists.

Cooper is the 17th Tiger to be selected to the All-Freshman team and the only Auburn player selected for this season's SEC regular-season awards.
