After committing to Auburn on April 20, Arkansas transfer guard Desi Sills will not be joining the Tigers.
The guard announced his commitment to Arkansas State Tuesday on social media.
Sills has spent the last three seasons at Arkansas, where he appeared in 98 total games and started in 47 of them. In three seasons, he averaged 7.7 points, 1.5 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 turnovers on an average of 22.9 minutes per game.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of Desi,” said head coach Bruce Pearl in a statement. “I love his toughness and I wish we would’ve had a chance to coach him. It was in Desi’s best interests academically to pursue a different opportunity other than Auburn.”
Despite the loss of Sills, Auburn still has four other transfers set to join the Tigers this season, including Zep Jasper, Wendell Green Jr., Walker Kessler and K.D. Johnson.
