Auburn ranks nationally on Best Colleges annual report

U.S. News and World Report announced Sept. 12 its annual Best Colleges edition for 2022, in which Auburn University is tied for 42nd place among public schools and tied for 99th for all universities in the country. 

The rankings are geared to help college-bound students and families make informed decisions and evaluates factors like faculty resources, social mobility, graduation and retention rates, alumni giving, academic reputation and expert opinion.

The report also includes institutional rankings in other categories. The undergraduate programs in the Harbert College of Business and the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering rank 49th and 56th, respectively. The undergraduate nursing program is listed at 58th, and the computer science program at 82nd.

Auburn was last tied for the 97th best national university overall in the 2020 edition, and tied for 40th among public universities.
