Auburn soccer stars Alyssa Malonson, Anna Haddock and Marissa Arias were all named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Monday.

Malonson and Haddock both earned first-team honors for the second straight season. Arias was named to the third-team all-region in her first time as an honoree.

This is the second straight season Auburn has had three all-regions honorees and is tied for the third most honorees in program history.

"Alyssa, Anna and Marissa all had terrific seasons this year," said head coach Karen Hoppa. "Each of them played a major role in our team's success and we are thrilled to see them recognized by our coaches association."

All three players also received All-SEC honors a month ago. Malonson was named the SEC Defender of the Year and was accompanied by Haddock who was First Team All-SEC. Arias earned Second Team All-SEC.

Malonson is arguably one of Auburn’s most decorated soccer players, playing more games than anyone else in program history. Malonson set the program record for games played, started and consecutive games started at 97 straight starts.

Malonson and her defensive prowess helped lead Auburn to seven total shutouts and five shutouts in SEC play. Malonson was drafted 20th overall in last year’s NWSL Draft.

Aside from her defense, the Texas native also scored a career high eight points on the year, with two scores and four assists. She finished her Auburn career tied at eighth in school history with 23 assists.

Haddock also had her ample share of success, after tying Auburn in points last year and earning SEC All-Freshman Team honors.

This season, Haddock was the only SEC sophomore to earn First Team All-SEC honors, finishing the season as Auburn’s leader in goals scored and points. Haddock totaled nine scores and 26 total points.

Haddock also tied the team lead in assists this year with eight. Her nine goals and 26 total points were fourth most by an Auburn underclassman in program history.

Scoring eight of her nine total goals in the team’s first 10 games, Haddock became the first Tiger to do so since 2000. She scored the game winning goal in three of the team’s first five matches and had four game winners all year, tied for the eighth most in a single Auburn season.

Arias earned her honors on offense too, scoring 17 points making her good for second on the team. Arias also netted seven goals and three game winners on the year, placing her at second on the squad in goals scored.

The Texas native finished the year with five goals in SEC play, tied for the league lead. She netted back-to-back game winners in wins over LSU and Florida.

Arias made her first start against Alabama A&M and notched a career best five points on two goals and an assist, kicking off her streak of seven goals and 15 points over a span on nine games.

Fourteen of Arias’ 26 shots were on goal, seven finding the back of the net, which led her team in both shot percentage and shots on goal percentage.
