Auburn gymnastics will open its year ranked No. 14 in the nation, the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association announced Friday.
“It’s always exciting when the preseason poll comes out because it means our season is right around the corner,” said head coach Jeff Graba. “Being ranked No. 14 in the coaches’ poll is as good a place as any to start. I’m excited for this team to get started and show what we’re capable of.”
The SEC has three schools in the Top 10 and eight total schools in the Top 20. Florida starts at No. 2, LSU is No. 5, Alabama is No. 6, Arkansas is No. 11, Kentucky is No. 13, Georgia is No. 15, Missouri is the final SEC team at No. 16.
Aside from a tough conference schedule, the Tigers will face current No. 1 and defending national champion Michigan in March.
Auburn gymnastics will kick off its 2022 season on Jan. 7 at North Carolina.
