Cornerback JaDarian Rhym has announced his commitment to Auburn on Tuesday. Rhym is the No. 22 ranked corner in the class of 2022 and is a 4-star overall recruit.
Rhym committed to LSU on Jan. 8 but with the firing of head coach Ed Orgeron, Rhym flipped his commitment to the Plains.
Auburn’s cornerback’s coach Zac Etheridge has been hot on the recruiting trail, already sniping four star corner Austin Ausberry from his home city of Baton Rouge and LSU’s grasp, along with No. 1 overall JUCO safety Marquise Gilbert.
Auburn’s secondary will be without Roger McCreary next season, as McCreary predicts to be a first round NFL Draft pick, so Rhym is potentially a day-one starter.
Rhym lists at 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds, hailing from Valdosta, GA. In 2020, Rhym was his regions’ All-Region first-team selection. The corner chose Auburn over LSU, Alabama, Florida and Florida State among others.
Rhym joins Marquise Gilbert, Tre Donaldson and Caleb Wooden in Auburn's defensive back recruiting class.
