Junior guard Allen Flanigan missed Auburn’s last game against South Carolina due to what Auburn Athletics called “medical reasons.”

A couple days later, Flanigan is still out according to head coach Bruce Pearl, though the eighth-year Auburn head coach hinted at a possible return against Florida.

“Allen won't be available for practice today. We hope to get him back for Saturday - there's a possibility of that. Other than that, we are good to go," Pearl said.

Flanigan has played two games this season after returning from partially torn Achilles injury during preseason.

Flanigan recorded 12 minutes and three points in his season debut against Murray State but saw an influx in minutes and entrance into the starting lineup against LSU, after Devan Cambridge missed the game due to COVID-19 issues.

The NBA draft prospect scored 10 points in 29 minutes against LSU.

Without the standout guard, the Tigers responded well and had no trouble rolling over South Carolina in a 15-point win against the Gamecocks.

With Florida (9-4) coming into town on Saturday, the Tigers and Flanigan would love to get back to full strength as the SEC schedule gets tougher.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CST and will be broadcast on ESPN2. The Gators are fresh off a 13-point loss at home to Alabama. Coach Pearl expects the matchup to produce a good game.

“They're probably coming up here pretty pissed off about their loss at home to Alabama. They played really well in the first half," Pearl said.
