Auburn sophomore Shelby Lowe earned SEC Co-Pitcher of the Week honors Monday for her performances in the Tiger Invitational over the weekend.

Over the course of three games pitched, Lowe threw for 13 cumulative innings in the run-rule victories. Her first appearance of the year was against St. John’s on Friday, Feb. 11 — where Lowe tossed a no-hitter as well as collecting 11 strikeouts. This no-hitter was the first of Lowe’s collegiate career as well as the 28th in program history.

Over the span of two more games, Lowe collected 12 more strikeouts while only allowing five hits, bringing her record to 3-0 and keeping her season ERA to 0.00. Over the span of the tournament, Lowe held opponent batters to a .109 hitting percentage and only allowed one unearned run.

Lowe shared the honors with Tennessee senior Ashley Rogers.

Rogers recorded two wins and a save for the Lady Volunteers in the Felsberg Invitational. Along with that, Rogers pitched 13 complete innings while recording 20 strikeouts. Rogers also held opponents to a .093 hitting percentage over the course of the tournament.

Lowe and the Tigers will next see action in the St. Pete Clearwater Elite Invitational in Florida, which will start with Auburn facing Texas Tech for its first game on Thursday, Feb. 17. The game will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will be streamed on SEC Network.
