Located in the center of downtown Auburn is a popular pizza joint that satisfies late-night cravings and allows college students to live on a budget. It may come as no surprise that Little Italy is this year’s Plainsman Choice for the best pizza.
Little Italy, a casual Italian-style restaurant, is well-known for its thin crust, New York-style pizza.
Pizza is served either by the slice or as a whole. Not only does its menu boast specialty pizzas such as the Little Italy Special and Meat Lovers, but it also has sandwiches, calzones and stromboli. To finish off your meal, enjoy one of Little Italy's desserts such as a cannoli or tiramisu. If you are wanting a lighter snack, the restaurant also offers salads.
The restaurant has wine and beer options for sale as well.
Little Italy remains open into the early morning hours for locals to grab a late-night bite. On weekdays Little Italy closes at 2 a.m., while on weekends the store closes at 3 a.m.
Sundays are the one exception where this restaurant closes at 9 p.m. Its hours allow for ample opportunities to get a piece of what Plainsman readers say is the best pizza in Auburn.
Whether enjoying an afternoon in Auburn or needing a late-night pick-me-up, head to Little Italy to enjoy this year’s best pizza.
