Auburn University Campus Safety and Security sent an email to students Monday afternoon about a report of drugging that occurred late Friday night or early Saturday morning at an Auburn-affiliated apartment complex.

According to the email, the survivor believes they were given a drug at a party involuntarily. Their symptoms were consistent with those caused by GHB, a drug that is often used as a date rate drug. There is no detailed description of a suspect at the time of publication.

The email also mentions an incident involving a male putting an unknown substance into a female's drink at an off-campus bar around the same time, but suggests that the two incidents aren't related. Auburn Police is investigating the incident.
