Victory Sunday came with a sweet surprise in week one, as 2024 4-star offensive lineman DeAndre Carter announced his commitment to Auburn.
The 6-foot-5, 335-pound interior lineman from Mater Dei High School in California adds to Auburn's 2024 class and gives the Tigers their first commitment on the offensive line in the class. Carter is ranked as the top recruit at his position and the No. 55 overall 2024 recruit, according to 247Sports.
Carter, Auburn's third highest-ranked commitment in next year's class, chose Auburn over the likes of Michigan State and Texas. He was the 18th commitment in Auburn's 2024 class.
Currently the 13th-ranked 2024 recruiting class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Auburn continues to add on the offensive side of the ball, as this is the Tigers' seventh offensive commit in the class.
