Looking to bounce back from back-to-back losses against Cal and UCF, the Auburn Tigers will prepare to host Alabama A&M in Neville Arena in what will be their sixth official match of the season.

After a loss at home against California and another loss at the hands of UCF in Orlando, Florida, the Tigers will want to leave that behind and get back to winning ways to head into the ACC/SEC Challenge with a win.

The Alabama A&M Bulldogs are 2-2 so far early in the season with their two losses coming in their first two games of the season. The Bulldogs will be coming off a fresh 74-44 win against the University of Alabama-Huntsville, a game in which they took control from start to finish.

This game will be the eighth time that the Tigers and the Bulldogs take each other on. The Auburn Tigers are undefeated against the Bulldogs with the Tigers winning at home five times and away twice. The last time these two teams faced off against each other was in November 2013 when the Tigers maintained their unbeaten status with a 77-49 win. Alabama A&M will want to end Auburn’s dominance over it as the Bulldogs head into this game with a winning streak unlike Auburn.

The Tigers will want to move on from last week’s results and kickstart another winning run. The Tigers will want to raise their average of 64 points per game early in the season despite the scoring margin being in the Tigers’ favor with a margin of 6.8. Although it’s still early in the season, graduate student guard Honesty Scott-Grayson leads the Tigers in points, racking up a total of 69 points in 141 minutes played. The Tigers’ second leading scorer is freshman center Savannah Scott with 52 points in 123 minutes played this season.

One of the main struggles in Auburn’s losses this season is its efficiency from 3-point range, going 3-for-15 in its game against California and 2-for-15 against UCF. Auburn’s most consistent 3-point shooter is Scott-Grayson who is 5-for-22. Sophomore guard Sydney Shaw trails behind her, going 3-for-22 on 3-pointers. The Tigers will want to be more efficient and not have to rely so heavily on shots in the paint.

The Alabama A&M Bulldogs will be traveling to Auburn with their eyes set on beating Auburn for the first time in their program’s history but more importantly, maintaining their winning streak.

The Bulldogs head into this game with an average of 59.5 points per game but with a scoring margin of -3.8. Despite the scoring margin, the Tigers will need to be wary of the Bulldogs offensively as they’ve scored more than 60 points in their previous two games.

The Bulldogs are led by junior guard Amiah Simmons who has tallied up a total of 51 points with 19 of those points coming in the Bulldogs’ last game against UAH. Simmons is followed by freshman guard Kaylah Turner who has amassed 42 points of her own while playing 115 minutes this season.

The Auburn Tigers will take on the Alabama A&M Bulldogs at Neville Arena on Sunday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. CST on SECN+.
