The Auburn Tigers are currently sitting at five straight wins, after a dominant win against Alabama State. Auburn will be looking to extend this streak this week, when the Tigers face Norfolk State and Washington State at home.

Auburn is coming off a massive 94-37 win against Alabama State on Wednesday. This was a record-breaking night for multiple players, as well as an overall great performance from the entire team.

Honesty Scott-Grayson is currently Auburn’s leading scorer, averaging about 16 points per game. Although Scott-Grayson is a huge player for this team, head coach Johnnie Harris made sure to acknowledge the entire team's chemistry during this game.

“The chemistry is getting better. And our kids have always had chemistry since this group got here, but the chemistry on the floor comes with experience playing together. And I think you can see that,” Harris said after the Alabama State game. “I think they're starting to know each other, and they're playing harder. They're trusting each other.”

Auburn will be taking on Norfolk State first on Saturday, Dec. 16. Norfolk State is a small, but mighty Division I school that has been receiving a ton of recognition this year. Two players in particular that stick out are forward Kierra Wheeler and point guard Da'Brya Clark. Both women recently received Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference recognitions.

Wheeler is the leading scorer for the Spartans, averaging about 16 points per game. Her stats are very similar to those of Scott-Grayson, making for an interesting matchup in the paint.

The Spartans will be coming off a tough road loss to Wake Forest 51-46.

Shortly after this game on Wednesday, Dec. 20, the Tigers will be facing Washington State at home. The Cougars are currently sitting at No. 28 in the NCAA rankings. This will mark the beginning of four consecutive road games for Washington State.

Center Bella Murekatete and guard Charlisse Leger-Walker seem to be consistent leaders on this team. Leger-Walker leads in playing time, while Murkatete leads with points. Washington State has great players throughout the entire court. Auburn’s chemistry must be in tip-top shape for this matchup.

Washington State is currently coming off a tough rivalry loss to Washington. This was the first time the Cougars had lost to Washington since 2019, so vengeance can be expected. Before playing Auburn, Washington State will take on Houston at home on Sunday.

Both of these games will be played at Neville Arena and be broadcasted on SECN+. Norfolk State will take place on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. CST, and Washington State will take place on Dec. 20 at 2 p.m. CST.
