Three players on the Auburn men’s basketball team won SEC basketball postseason awards this Monday in an annual vote by the league’s head coaches.
Johni Broome, Jaylin Williams and Aden Holloway were the three players honored as Broome became an All-SEC First Team and All-SEC Defensive Team selection, Williams became an All-SEC Second Team selection and Holloway became an All-SEC Freshman Team selection.

Broome a junior forward, has been one of the top players and centers in the country this season as he is a candidate for the John R. Wooden award and Naismith Player of the Year and All-American teams, averaging 16.3 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game – the only player to be in the top 10 in both points and rebounds in the SEC.
He is also just the fifth player in program history to be named to the All-Defensive Team, joining Quantez Robertson (2009), Anfernee McLemore (2018), Isaac Okoro (2020) and Walker Kessler (2022).

Williams' All-SEC selection will be his first one in five years with the program as he has the most career games played in Auburn basketball history with 137 and is the winningest player in program history with 110. This season he is currently averaging 12.9 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
Holloway, who was a five-star McDonald’s All-American before enrolling at Auburn, became the 15th player in school history to be named to the All-SEC Freshman Team. He holds one of the best assist-to-turnover ratios in the country at 3.15. The last Auburn basketball player to be named to the All-Freshman Team was Jabari Smith.
The Tigers are heading into postseason play this Friday as they are the No. 4 seed in the SEC Tournament and will get a double bye and await the winner of South Carolina versus Vanderbilt or Arkansas.
