Dear New Auburn Students,
On behalf of the Auburn Women’s Basketball team and staff, I want to extend a warm welcome to you as you begin your journey as a member of the Auburn Family! You have made a great decision to attend Auburn University, and I know you will find the campus and the community as welcoming as I have over the last three years.
It didn’t take me long to realize that Auburn is a special place. It’s special because of the traditions we love – Tiger Walk, Toomer’s Corner, and the Eagle Flight, just to name a few. It’s special because the community embraces and supports our university and our athletic programs. But the thing that makes Auburn the most special is you, our students.
As I’m sure you know, our basketball student section, The Jungle, has made Neville Arena the most exciting environment in all of college basketball. That was never more apparent for our program than this past January when the defending national champions came to Auburn and, in front of a record crowd and a packed student section, had the nation’s longest winning streak snapped by your Tigers. The Jungle was loud and proud that day, and they made a huge difference.
We want to experience that atmosphere every night, and we want our opponents to truly fear The Jungle. Our team is going to play a fun, exciting brand of basketball, and with your help, we can create a home-court advantage unmatched in the SEC.
We’re so excited to have you here, and we can’t wait for you to be a part of our Auburn Women’s Basketball family.
War Eagle!
