Sophomore tight end Micah Riley announced on Sunday that he would enter the transfer portal when it opens on December 9.
The Omaha, Neb. native appeared in 29 games over the course of his Auburn career. He recorded three receptions for 43 yards and a pair of touchdowns in his two years on the Plains. He spent most of his 2024 in a backup role behind Luke Deal and Rivaldo Fairweather, recording just one reception for three yards and a touchdown.
With Deal and Fairweather out of eligibility, the Tigers will count on returnees Brandon Frazier and Rico Walker along with incoming freshmen Ryan Ghea and Hollis Davidson.
The former 3-star recruit makes the second official departure for the Tigers since the season’s conclusion following the 28-14 Iron Bowl loss after Holden Geriner's announcement earlier on Sunday.
