Four-star cornerback, per 247 Sports, Donovan Starr moved up his scheduled signing ceremony from Friday to today to make it official with Hugh Freeze and Auburn – marking the 24th high school signee to put pen to paper in the Tigers’ 2025 class

Starr was rated at 93 overall by 247 Sports and was the highest rated player from the state of Tennessee. The newest Auburn signee was also the 16th highest rated cornerback in the class of 2025.

The 6-foot, 176 pound cornerback recorded 52 solo tackles, 66 total, with 4.5 tackles-for-loss in 14 games during his senior season with Ravenwood high school.

The Tigers, with primary recruiter Wesley ‘Crime Dawg’ McGriff, had to fight off Alabama and other SEC foes during Starr’s recruitment process but the four-star cornerback stayed with his June 6 commitment.

Starr joins four-star Blake Woodby and three-star Devin Williams as one of the Tigers’ three high school cornerback signees on Wednesday.

Freeze and Auburn’s class currently sits at No. 6 in the nation with national signing day all but wrapped up.
