Freshman quarterback and former four-star recruit Walker White entered the transfer portal on Saturday afternoon following the Tigers bringing in Oklahoma quarterback and former five-star Jackson Arnold just a few hours prior. 247 Sports’ Matt Zenitz reported the development first.
White appeared in just one game, against ULM, for the Tigers in his lone and eventual redshirt freshman season. Against Louisiana Monroe, White completed two of his five pass attempts totaling 18 yards through the air. White also rushed for 18 yards on four attempts.
The 6-foot-3 and 225 pound quarterback was ranked as the fifth-best quarterback and 41st-best overall prospect in the 2024 recruiting class per 247 Sports. White committed to the Tigers on February 3, 2023 just a few months after Freeze took the helm.

White was a three-year starter at Little Rock Christian Academy and passed for 2,660 yards and 29 touchdowns as a senior – leading the Warriors to the Class 6A state championship game.
With White’s exit, all four scholarship quarterbacks for Auburn from the 2024 season will no longer be on the roster; three transfers and one graduation. Hugh Freeze and the Tigers have brought in five-star recruit Deuce Knight from the high school ranks along with today’s addition of Arnold.
