Tigers add Georgia Tech wide receiver Eric Singleton from portal

Former Georgia Tech wide receiver and the No. 3 overall player available in the transfer portal, per 247 Sports, Eric Singleton committed to Auburn early Monday morning – marking the 14th player for the portal to pick Auburn as his next destination.

Singleton appeared in every game during his first two seasons with the Yellow Jackets combining for 1468 yards on 104 receptions with nine touchdowns.

During his sophomore season at Georgia Tech, Singleton recorded 85-or-more yards receiving in half of his performances. In eight of his 12 appearances during the 2024 season, Singleton recorded five-or-more receptions with a season high eight against Georgia in the season finale.

As a true freshman, the 5-foot-11, 190 pound receiver was voted as a freshman All-American by several outlets and was an honorable mention for the All-ACC team. Singleton finished second in voting for ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year and third in balloting for the conference’s overall Rookie of the Year.

Singleton, a Douglasville, GA native, joins quarterback Jackson Arnold and six other new pieces from the portal as major factors to Auburn and Hugh Freeze’s 2025 offense. The Tigers’ currently sit with the No. 4 overall transfer portal class in this current cycle – trailing just Texas Tech, LSU and Ole Miss.
