Hugh Freeze and the Tigers signed four-star running back Alvin Henderson on Wednesday morning marking the 16th high school signee to make it official with the program on national signing day.
Henderson, out of Elba high school, became the 12th running back in the history of high school football to rush for 10,000 career yards on Nov, 8. Henderson finished his senior season with 3456 total yards averaging 13.8 yards-per-carry with 61 touchdowns.
As a junior, the 5-foot-9 running back ran for 3523 yards on 225 carries with a long of 97 yards with 61 touchdowns. In his last two seasons of high school football, Henderson rushed for 100-or-more yards in 26 of his 27 games.
Henderson was rated at 91 overall by 247 Sports, earning him a fourth star, and was the ninth highest rated running back in the class of 2025 and the 12th overall player in the state of Alabama.
The Tigers’ newest running back committed to the program on June 21 and now joins Freeze’s No. 5 overall class with more signees still expected throughout Wednesday morning and afternoon.
