Auburn will get a chance this Saturday for a season sweep of the South Carolina Gamecocks after beating them earlier this season 14-5.

The Tigers just recently beat No. 9 UT Martin 9-6 with Auburn winning both the Fences and Reining event 4-1 and look to build off those two events into this matchup against the Gamecocks.

Last time these two teams met, Auburn swept the competition in Horsemanship and was also consistent in the Jumping seat event. Repeating those same results is something the team will look towards doing back at home.

Junior Caroline Fredenburg and Freshman Abby Eddy are the two that have taken the lead in horsemanship this season. Alexia Tordoff won MOP in the Tigers last matchup against the Gamecocks in Horsemanship. They’ll need another solid performance from her in that event.

Auburn Jumping Seat Kate Hagerty (13) competes during a matchup against Minnesota Crookston at the Auburn University Equestrian Center on Feb. 7, 2025.

Ellie Ferrigno has been a constant for the Auburn Equestrian team this season. She is currently on four different all-time lists for Auburn Equestrian in the Flat meets completed and career wins, as well as Fences meets completed and career wins.

The Tigers will need their upperclassmen to step up as they have for most of the season to secure another in conference victory in hopes to dominate the SEC once again as they have in previous seasons.

The Tigers play on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. CST at the Auburn University Equestrian Center.
