For the fourth time in his career, Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl was named the 2025 SEC coach of the year after taking the Tigers to the No. 1 ranking for eight straight weeks and winning his third SEC regular season title at Auburn.
Pearl, in his 11th season on the Plains and 30th overall of his career, earned SEC Coach of the Year honors for the second time during his time at Auburn. Pearl is the all-time winningest coach in program history with 227 career wins. The head coach also received the conference coach of the year nod by his peers in the 2006, 2008 and 2022 seasons.
The Tigers’ head coach as led Auburn to a 27-4 record — tying the program record for wins in a regular season — and a 15-3 conference record — tying to most wins in SEC play in a regular season. Pearl’s squad also won its most road SEC games, eight, ever in program history this season.

The program has also claimed the most quad-one wins this season with 16 which is four more than anyone else nationally.
Pearl also became just the ninth head coach all-time with multiple wins in No. 1 vs. No. 2 games and the first to lead multiple schools to a victory in a No. 1 vs. No. 2 game when the top-ranked Tigers defeated No. 2 Alabama 94-85 on February 15.
Pearl was also named a conference coach of the year twice in the Great Lakes Valley Conference at Southern Indiana and three times in the Horizon League at Milwaukee.
