A man is in the hospital today following a shooting at Yugo North apartment complex. The Auburn Police Department discovered the victim inside an apartment during a response to a report of shots fired at 2:18 p.m.
The individual was then transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional for further treatment. Pick Elementary School was placed on lockdown to ensure the safety of students, but has since been lifted due to police suspicion that the suspect fled in a vehicle.
Police remain at the complex as investigations continue, and ask individuals to stay away from the area until notified.
