Auburn men’s basketball has officially added another non-conference matchup to its slate, as the Tigers will participate in the Rocket City Classic, taking on Middle Tennessee on Dec. 15 at VBC Propst Arena in Huntsville, Alabama.

“We are excited to return to Huntsville and play in front of the Auburn Family,” Steven Pearl said in a press release on Wednesday. “This is a tremendous opportunity to compete at a neutral site against a perennially competitive program in Middle Tennessee. I have great respect for Coach McDevitt, and I know he will have his team ready to play.”

The Blue Raiders posted a 17-15 record last season, finishing third in Conference USA and missing the NCAA Tournament.

Auburn will take on West Virginia (Players Era 8), Kansas or UNLV (Players Era 8), Middle Tennessee (Rocket City Classic) and Wisconsin in non-conference play. The remainder of the slate will be released this summer.

Tickets to the Rocket City Classic will go on sale to the general public June 10.
