Auburn alumna Molly Thorvilson and her boyfriend Kyle Johnson placed handmade notes at the base of the Toomer's Oak on Magnolia on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016. Thorvilson said she thought the story from the Lorax captured the spirit of the tree, which was set ablaze early Sunday morning after Auburn's 18-13 win over LSU.
