Auburn
University is an university well-known for its success because the faculty
members ensure that their students gain the opportunity to receive a job
interview once they are Seniors. In particular, Auburn students from the
College of Architecture, Design and Construction has received an astounding 100
percent employment rate once they graduated for two consecutive semesters. When
Vini Nathan, the dean and McWhorter Chair of the College of Architecture,
Design and Construction (CADA), states that due to the from professors, students
are given sufficient resources, which prepares them for their future. Nathan
states, "Through a robust curriculum; by professors who are closely tied
to industry; by having industry experts contribute as and when appropriate in
the learning process; by exposing our students to a variety of perspectives
(though their peers, faculty, guest speakers, lectures series), through study
abroad, field studies and other highly immersive academic learning experiences;
through the extensive network of AU alumni, industry partners, and
supporters," is the reason behind CADA students success. These same steps
in preparation have helped students from different colleges as
well. However, students are not the only individuals who benefit from
employment. The employers gain eager students who are qualified for their jobs,
while Auburn faculty members receive updated information about the former
students and their employers experience with working with each other. This
notion is helpful because professors will adjust their future curriculums'
based on the updated information they receive.
